Pet Tales
We are super proud of each puppy born at our home, whether they go on to compete in the show ring, in the obedience ring, in the agility ring, in the field, or if they join a pet home to be someone's best friend. I get e-mails sometimes asking whether or not we place puppies in pet homes. All over my website, you will see photos of dogs competing in different venues and I can see where it would be easy to think that all of our focus is on our "show dogs." I wanted to add these Pet Tales pages to share photos of the puppies I have placed in homes where they may not get to be in the limelight, but they do get to do what English Cockers love to do best - devote their time 100% to their people.
I got my first dog, a Cocker Spaniel, when I was 9 years old. I still remember the love I felt for that dog. English Cockers are such a joyful, devoted, and earnest breed of dog. The things I love best about my dogs has nothing to do with competing with them and everything to do with having them as my pets. I love the way they follow me everywhere, I love their little wiggle butts, I love their honest belief that I must be the best human in the whole world (-: I love showing my dogs and training them for performance events, but I also find tremendous value in the day to day joy of living with this breed.
