Portia lived the first year of her life here with us, but currently lives with and is co-owned by David and Jenny Phipps. Portia is a fun combination of her dam, Sophie, and her grand-dam, Mandy. She loves to play and is usually carrying a toy around in her mouth, but she also loves to snuggle. She has an enthusiastic personality and she loves to learn. Her name comes from one of the main characters in Shakespeare's The Merchant Of Venice. If you have ever read or watched this play, you know that Shakespeare's Portia is very intelligent with a mind of her own. Our Portia has a similar personality! Portia is shown below at six months of age winning second in her 6-9 mth sweeps class at ASC. This was her very first time in the show ring!
