Do you want an English Cocker but are not sure you are up to the high energy, training, housebreaking, leash breaking, chewing, etc, that comes with a new puppy? 

There are many reasons that we may have an adult English Cocker available. We occasionally get dogs back for re-homing for reasons such as a divorce or major life change in the owner's family, or a family that was not prepared for how much work an English Cocker can be. We also sometimes have older puppies for placement that we were growing up as show prospects but as they grew, they did not turn out for the show ring or were not happy living as one of multiple dogs. We are very committed to letting our dogs live a wonderful life as house pets, whether that is with us or with someone else. This means we work hard to keep the number of dogs living with us at a number that allows them all to get individual snuggle time on the couch. We sometimes place dogs that we would love to keep, just because we know they would be happier being someone's one and only and because we strive to maintain our dogs in a home environment rather than a kennel environment. Adults dogs that we place are usually excellent travelers, crate trained, housebroken, good with grooming, up to date on all medical care, good with people, and have some household manners. Adult dogs being placed through us are *not* rescues.
